If you believe any parts of the prevailing cosmological theories of the development of the universe - "the Big Bang" and varieties of "Parallel Universes" - then you must also believe that you are part of what happened in the current beginning, and yes you belong here, you're here, as is all existence.
An amazing thing about life is we come from this planet, not separate from it, not strangers, but are really one with it and need all that it has for us to exist. We need our gravity, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and our social attachments. We are chemically the same as Earth, not Mars.
We know there is more to our purpose than mortgages, taxes, work, war, and reproduction. We have the feeling that man is trying to improve the planet with terrible consequences and little success. And yet there is also a deep feeling that our personal existence is meant to be something more than what happens to us between being born and burial. There is a mystery!
We are beings made of tiny specs of stardust on this little rocky planet that is less than .000003 of the mass of the solar system and the Solar system is less than one 400 billionth of the Milky Way and the Milky Way is probably less than a trillionth of the cosmos. Yes, there really are more stars than grains of sand on the entire Earth. We need to stop thinking and talking, and go inside ourselves, wonder, and find the road to connect to what is happening deep within ourselves...before we die!
The great spiritual teachers tell us that we get a round trip ticket until we do that and really find out who we are. When we find out, we will be awake and all becomes clear.
Unbelievably, people will die for money and put materialism ahead of personal and community awakening. So on our little corner on Lillie Avenue, we are devoted to helping everyone who enters to find some solace, something as a reminder of their spiritual journey to finding who they are. We do it through environment, being of service, education and immersion in beauty.
We are devotees of awakening, we are looking for ourselves and really don't know what else there is to do in existence.
With Bliss and Blessings,
